About Connecting Care
Exploring Care Through Community, Creativity, and Conversation
Connecting Care is a project that seeks to explore how care is experienced, expressed, and shared across London. Through a combination of interactive workshops, creative storytelling, and community-led discussions, we aim to build a deeper understanding of what care means to different people - emotionally, socially, and practically.
We believe that care is more than just a service or responsibility; it is a lived experience shaped by culture, relationships, and environment. Our project brings people together to map their experiences of care, using sensory and creative methods to capture personal and collective stories.
What We Do
Community Workshops - Flexible, drop-in sessions where participants can engage in mindfulness activities, collaborative discussions, and creative mapping exercises.
Digital Engagement - An open platform where people can share their thoughts on care, contribute stories, and interact with our evolving care map.
Creative Storytelling & Mapping - Visual and artistic representations of care experiences, bringing together insights from our workshops and digital contributions.
Why It Matters
London is a city of diverse communities, each with unique experiences of care. Yet, many care relationships - whether formal or informal - go unrecognised or unsupported. By listening, sharing, and visualising these experiences, Connecting Care aims to foster greater awareness, collaboration, and action toward a more caring society.
