In order to gather insights, test our assumptions and engage with the community,  we hosted Connecting Care, a creative and participatory workshop exploring the ways in which care is experienced, expressed, and exchanged across London. Designed as a flexible, drop-in event, the workshop invited caregivers, creatives, and civic thinkers to explore care through a multi-sensory lens.

📅 Date: Friday, 11th April 2025
🕓 Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Location: The Paper Garden In Canada Water, SE16 7LW

The workshop was mindfully developed, deeply rooted in values of respect and reciprocity. Our team agreed from the beginning that we wanted this to be a shared learning experience for both us, the researchers, and the participants. It was important to us to offer care to all those who participated so as to ensure a meaningful experience; a deliberate choice to shift away from the predominant extractionist research practices that often lead to consultation fatigue in communities.

The event was attended by around 30 participants and facilitated by our Connecting Care team, consisting of people from a range of backgrounds and all across London.
